CNC Machining of an Aluminum Safety Coupling for the Valve Industry

A customer in the valve industry approached Hogge Precision to manufacture an aluminum safety coupling. The customer has previously purchased a machined blank from China, and brought it in-house to perform the cross drilling and O.D. finishing requirements.

Unsatisfied with previous manufacturing, the customer came to us. We took on the project and performed CNC turning and CNC milling using a twin turret twin spindle turning center running lights out. The finished product, made of 7075 aluminum, measured 2.425 inches in length and the O.D. was .875 inches. We performed full testing and inspections on the product before shipping.

The client was highly pleased with the outcome, and now purchases 5,000 units of the product per month.
